Opéra (Fr)

OPÉRA, whose real name is Stéphane Vignal, was born in Paris on March 29th, 1983. He started as a traditional graffiti artist in 1998 under the pseudonym STARONE, and for nearly ten years he devoted himself to the “wild style,” a type of graffiti based on drawing with complex letters.
After completing a course of study in visual communication in Paris, he worked as a freelancer before he opened his own agency, 2HS Design, in 2008.
At the same time, to be true to his daily inspirations and his first profession as a designer, he established a new artistic project in mural design. In 2006, he decided to become “Opéra” and develop a more graphic and geometric approach to his work.
Many modern artists inspired his creations, such as Vasarely, Lissitzky and Kandisky. Constructivism, retro-futurism and Bauhaus are his daily bread.
Thanks to his graphic projects, he was able to develop many collaborations in the cultural and musical world (Hocus Pocus, C2C, Stalwart Records), including some famous corporations (Adidas, Engie, Eurosport, Canal+).
